THE BASICS , - As this is a Proboards site you must first adhere to all of Proboards Terms of Service.
- This site is rated PG-13 and by Proboards rules you must be at least thirteen to be a part of it. This does not mean your characters can't have sex, do drugs or drink or anything like that - but it does mean that you MUST NOT go into any detail of any sort about those topics. Any threads found with any inappropriate material will be removed and the member warned.
- Be kind, be respectful. It’s not that hard people. You don’t like being told off, sworn at or abused so don’t do it to other people. We will not tolerate it on this site.
- Please, no chat speak. In the OOC boards we kind of expect you to go a little nuts and crazy – that’s what they’re there for. But please remember to be as literate as possible. Please don’t go from amazingly literate to tlkng lyk dis, kay? We like our vowels (:
YOUR CHARACTERS , - No god modding or power playing. You are in charge of your character’s actions and your character alone. You need to be patient and let people choose how their characters react.
- No Mary-Sues or John Does. Characters need to be at least semi-realistic and no one is without their flaws.
- Characters of any sexuality are allowed.
- Characters' with history involving eating disorders, depression, substance abuse or anything else are allowed. But remember to keep everything suitable for people as young as 13 years of age. Your characters may not be raging alcoholics with uncontrollable sex addictions, etc.
- If you wish for your character to go through any major life-changing events, it needs to be checked and cleared with an Administrator. This involves things such as pregnancy, suicides or anything really major. If you are unsure, check with an administrator.
- Characters need to be in their fourth year or above.
- You may have as many characters as you can keep active. However, once you reach four characters you must check with an administrator before you make more.
- Staff will delete unaccepted accounts if they have not been logged into within 20 days.
- We are an original site so no canon characters will be allowed.
- We do have a list of abilities that characters can have but for the time being we are not allowing vampires. Sorry for any inconvenience. This may change in the future.
GETTING STARTED , - Each character must have their own account; it just makes things easier for everybody.
- Play by's are not compulsory. However, if you choose to have one they must be real humans - no drawings, anime or cartoon characters. Signatures and avatars must be related to your character's play by.
- Avatars are to be no larger than 150x225px.
- Signatures are to be no larger than 500x500px.
- Other images on this site are to be no larger than 500x700px.
- When writing your application the title needs to be last name, first name. For example; LAST NAME, first name.
- You may not post anywhere, except in the claims and introductions board, before you are accepted.
- Do not hassle us about accepting your characters. We are on almost every day and will check it as soon as we can.
- You have a total of seven days to complete your application before you receive a notice, if it is still not completed within the following three days it will be archived. You may contact a staff member to have it reinstated. Exceptions can and will be made, but you need to speak with a member of staff about it.
- Regarding the students prefect and quidditch claims as well as all ability claims, members may have one claim for every three characters. If you have any questions regarding this please PM the main admin.
ROLE PLAYING , - There is no posting minimum.
- Each member, not character, is required to make at least one role play post every ten days.
- Each character account must make some kind of post (IC or OOC - this includes games and general chit chat) at least once every three weeks.
- All members are expected to take part in the activity checks. You will only be excused if you are away from the site for a majority of the AC. If this is the case you need to contact a staff member and/or post a message in our Kings Cross bored.
FINALLY , - All members are expected to read and follow the rules.
- Staff reserve the right to warn, suspend or ban members as they see fit.
- If you have any questions feel free to PM the main admin account.
