The Plot
Behind every great man there stands a great woman.
There is no doubt that The Dark Lord Voldemort was a great wizard. He may have been evil and his views on life a little skewed, but his powers were extraordinary. Who would have thought that a man like himself could have ever fallen in love? In fact, who would have thought that anyone could possibly love Tom Riddle? Well in fact, there was such a person and her name is Maria Riddle, formerly Maria Katie May. The couple had fallen in love at Hogwarts back when they were in their sixth year and married almost the very second they had graduated.
Maria worked in the Ministry under her maiden name for most of her life. She kept her life private and eleven years before Tom Riddle died the first time, he and his wife brought into the world a beautiful baby girl by the name of Angela Merope Riddle. She vowed to get revenge for her father's death and in time her chance would come to rule the world. When Voldemort was brought back to life by his eager follower Peter Pettigrew he took this chance to introduce his daughter the Death Eaters, putting her in charge if anything ever went wrong. When it did go wrong, after Harry Potter murdered her father once again, Angela finally put her plan into action.
It started with the infiltration of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Angela had Death Eaters working undercover as professors and one even as the Head Master of the school itself. At her command they had easily taken control of the school and had taken its student’s captive. This immediately struck horror into the hearts of Europe’s Wizards and Witches. Parents tried to pull their students out of school with little to no luck. Following the Hogwarts invasion came the Death of the Minister of Magic and the promotion of a Death Eater to replace him. Of course this new Minister was merely a puppet, with Angela pulling his strings back stage. After this stage of the plan was complete, however, everything in the Wizarding World started falling apart. Angela had taken control and she wasn’t going to give it up without a fight.
People still have their jobs, although people’s rights have changed a lot since Angela has been in charge. Of course Purebloods hardly have to lift a finger while muggle born witches and wizards are breaking their backs trying to earn a living for their families. No, our new Dark Mistress is not treating and slaughtering all muggles/muggle borns and blood traitors, but instead has skillfully reorganized the social ladder. Purebloods on top, muggle borns at the bottom. Just like it always should have been.
Hogwarts is still accepting all students, and despite parents’ worries about the school as far as anyone can tell no one is actually being hurt or tortured. Some students are copping it worse than others, but it’s hard for outsiders to really prove what’s going on inside the school. There has also been a few changes to the school’s curriculum. For instance, Defence Against the Dark Arts is now just Dark Arts and is mandatory for all students, while Muggle Studies has been wiped out completely.
